It would be nice to be able to extend the time before the detector panel falls asleep. I work in a clinic that only sees exotic animals, and every second is crucial when they are unstable. We often like to get everything set up and ready to go, but we sometimes have to do other treatments or diagnostics before rads. So, we set up the rads ahead of time only to find that the panel is asleep when we come in to take the rads. If we realize it, it still takes time for it to wake up, which increases the time handling the patient. If we don't realize it because we are in a rush, then we take the shot, expose the patient to radiation, but no image has been captured. I have also had times when we check that the panel is awake, but it falls asleep in the seconds it takes to position the patient and take the shot. Once again, this increases the unnecessary radiation. There isn't a button to reset the timer either, only when the panel is already asleep. There needs to be a way to extend the time before the panel goes to sleep.
