  1. Although there are a few separate suggestions along these lines, I would like to impress upon you the need to expand your search and sort options to match those which are/were available in eFilm. Sorting studies by timestamp within a given day range is absolutely necessary for a big, multi-building hospital with a large imaging caseload; it is crucial for identifying studies as they are made to prevent delayed or missing paperwork from causing cases to fall through the cracks. This also allows quick and easy identification of cases done overnight by the emergency staff. Searching and sorting cases by…

  2. There should be an option to allow cine loops to autoplay by default. Cine play should also be hotkey assignable to eliminate the need to continuously click the play button for each stack.

  3. Although SmartPACS has a built in Viewer Radiologists often use Osirix during residency and are accustomed to using the software and reporting within the software. These users need to get data from the PACS server to their local viewer/ reporting software. Without the support of C-GET, users must have a static IP address to retrieve the image data and obtaining a static IP can be quite difficult or impossible based on the user network configuration / workflow.

Users need to be able to use C-GET to obtain image data from SmartPACS into a 3rd party software application.

  4. With multiple vets, I imagine there may be the odd person who decides to change the password, which will change it for everybody. Clearly this can be reset in admin mode, but is it possible to disengage this from the user platform?

  6. Currently exporting studies locally in JPEG format does not save the images in acquisition order. When doctors email the images to the patient owner, it looks bad that they are not listed in order.

Thank you for the feedback. This is planned for the next development cycle. At this time a work around can be to export the JPEG images from the AIS Study List. This will export the images by the Date and Time DICOM stamps.

  7. It would be more efficient to add a group of custom annotations at one time instead of one line at a time.
AND, then to copy it from one radiograph to others.

    i.e. For OFA submissions:
    Full registered name:

    Registration Number:

    Tattoo:

    D.O.B.
    Owner name:
    Image date:
    Hospital name
    Doctor name

It is too cumbersome to change the standard overlay information, then rebuild it after finishing with the special Overlay.

    OR,

Can there be various Annotation or Overlay "templates" to toggle between?

    Thank you.

  8. Customers email JPEG images and the size of the JPEG images exported limits the number of images that can be attached to a single email. If the user could adjust the JPEG compression to make the images smaller on export, more images can be attached to a single email.

Users want the same level of compression by default for Local Export of JPEG with or without the Overlay burned into the image.

Users want to specify the level of compression on JPEG export.

  10. Currently, we are only able to arrange studies by date. There is no way to arrange studies taken on the same day by timestamp. For example, if you have 40 studies taken during the day, there is no way to quickly sort these 40 studies into which have been taken most recently.

  11. When you export studies with viewer included, these are unviewable to MAC users (clients, colleagues, rDVMs, etc). Very frustrating that we basically have to go tell them to download OsiriX or another MAC software just to view their DICOM images.

  12. When you export to a network device the window just disappears and there is no confirmation that it will send. This causes the user to be unsure and resend studies causing further backlog due to resends.

Thank you for the feedback.  We will look at how export confirmations can be optimized in a future development cycle.

When a study is exported, the user should review the export queue for confirmation of the status of transmission.  If the export is local, the Local Queue will have the current status of the export.  If the export is over the Network, the Network Queue will have the current status.  This is the best way to view and verify the export completed successfully as the queue will display the progress and will display the transmission is complete or if there was an error.

More details on the Local Queue can be found here:
    https://apps.soundvet.com/smartpacs/docs/studyList/studyList/utilityBar/export#local-export-queue
More details on the Network Queue can be found here:

  13. Add a column to indicate the modality in the study list. It would allow us to quickly find the images of a modality without doing an advanced search.

  15. On eFilm, we could select all the images of a cineloop or a CT series and export it as an AVI video. In addition, we could also select the quality (via slider) and the FPS for the exported video.

  17. Some sites have multiple practices within the same building. These sites are looking to use the SmartPACS to route by Institution name to send the images to distinct destinations. They do not want to see each other's images.

  20. An IO modality includes SD DICOM files that do not contain image data. These are Structured Display files. More information and interest needs to be gathered related to how the SmartPACS Viewers can include and fully utilize SD files.

“SD is not an image file but more like a dicom protocol on how to display a set of images in a structured way (ex. different templates for dental display). You still can display individual dental xray but you lose the structure (relationship) among different teeth.”
