Exporting Images to a Network
When you check on the status of images you've exported to a network, the study is only identified by the job ID# in Network Queue and by the type of study and date/time. The lack of a patient ID or patient/owner name makes verifying the exporting of a study successfully difficult. The job ID# gives us no indication of who the patient is and while the study description is helpful in a busy place it's not necessarily conclusive.

Better Search Option layout
Patient Name is first in the search option but the Patient ID is the first in the results. While you can move columns they don't stay that way when you log out and back in. Can the format have the search "Patient Name" be over the "Patient Name" in the results?
1 voteWhile there is no way to customize the search box order, there is a way to save the columns on the patient list. These can be sorted and then saved with the "Saved Queries". More information is located here: https://apps.soundvet.com/smartpacs/docs/studyList/studyList/search/savedQueries/

Search
Hello,
I'd like the option to change the default search parameters for dates. Currently, it's just searching this week by default but I'd like the option to change that. When I log into smartpacs in a hurry and search for a patient, I don't want to have to mess around with the dates every time. Just default it blank, if anything...
1 voteThere is a way to save a date range that best fits your needs as what we call a Saved Query. This saved query can be marked as your default when you first log into the system. You can edit the saved queries whenever you would like. Here is some information on how to work with Saved Queries. If you’d like some assistance in setting this up, our support would be glad to assist in configuring this for your needs.

save changes made to x-ray
When changing orientation of an x-ray (e.g. flipping rad so right is on the left part of the screen), allow the user to save this change.
1 voteA User can save the orientation and actually the entire display state (pan, zoom, window level) of an image. This is saved as an Annotation which is associated with the DICOM image. Below is a link that will discuss how to save and work with Annotations.

Hoof Pastern Angle
Dr would like to be able to measure hoof pastern angle after we have determined a line down the center of horse's pastern.
In eFilm this was possible through "Measurement tool - Show Angles" You could draw two intersecting lines and click the tool to show the angle between them
1 voteThe Cobb Angle tool under the Measurement Group within the Viewer will allow the user to draw two lines that do not have to intersect and it will display both the obtuse and acute angles. These values are dynamic and the user can adjust the line placement and the angles will be updated accordingly. Please respond if additional assistance is required.
Thank you!

time out
Disable the timeout feature on SmartPacs. We use it daily for dental extractions and it takes extra time to log in every time and reselect the appropriate dental radiograph the surgeon requires.

Would like to be able to add a "secondary ID" such as a microchip number or AKC number as an overlay for JPEG
Would like to be able to add a "secondary ID" such as a microchip number or AKC number as an overlay for JPEG. This is helpful for submission to OFA.
1 voteWe are happy to say we have the ability to do this in the most recent version of SmartPACS. I’ll request for someone in support to reach out to you about getting updated to this new version. Thank you for your feedback!

Orthoplanner - add templates for screws
Would like to have templates for screws to apply to a film like we have for plates. Some procedures require only screws and no plate - being able to judge size of the screw ahead of time would be helpful, particularly for small dogs.
1 voteOver 300 Synthes Cortex screws have been added to OrthoPlan and are available for use!
If there are any other templates that you would like to see in OrthoPlan, please let us know and we will be glad to work with the implant manufacturer to get their drawings included for you.
Have a great day!

Allow SmartPACS OrthoPlan to permanently save an annotation
It would be great to have the option to save the annotation as a new image instead of having to check and uncheck the correct annotation. It also ensures that the delete button is not clicked.
1 voteThis feature is now available for production use. There is a new tool called Secondary Capture. This tool will need to be added to your toolbar. Please contact Technical Support if you have any questions. Thank you for your feedback!

Templates for SmartPACS Orthoplan by VOI
Per Skylos sports medicine -They would like to request Veterinary Orthopedic templates be added to SmartPACS Orthoplan. They purchased TPLOE 10mm and 1.5mm
Original Email: We recently purchased a 10mm TPLO blade and 1.5mm TPLO plates from Veterinary Orthopedic Implants. Neither have a template in Orthoplan. Is this something that can be added?
1 voteThe VOI 1.5mm TPLO plates are now available for use.

Viewer - Measurements & Calibration stop if cursor leaves specific image viewport.
In the Viewer if the user is performing a measurement, advanced measurement (such as TPLO, cut out, etc) or Calibration and the cursor moves outside of the current viewport frame for that specific image, the measurement/calibration will automatically end at the location where the cursor exited the frame. Listed as a bug #196

OFA - OtherPatientIDs (0010,1000) as an Overlay

Ability to add free text DICOM tags to Overlay Editor
In the event of specific modalities (i.e. IO) users may want to add certain specific tags to the overlay editor. eFilm allows this functionality by way of manually editing the config XML. Attached is an email from Dennis Ballance at VCA outlining this request.
"Progeny dental DR software produces IO images, and uses the 0040:0556 “Acquisition context description” tag to store the list of tooth numbers that were evaluated in the given image. This tag displays in the progeny software, but doesn’t display on AIS or in eFilm. I don’t recall anymore if eFilm allows its overlay text to be…

Allow "Priority" Network Exports
CAS-290366-Y6K0M7 | If SmartPACS is auto routing to AIS, it won't send to a requested Network DICOM device until SmartPACS is finished with the queue. (It seems to send in the priority of first come, first serve currently.) A 'priority' button during the DICOM send will put that in front the queue.

CT WindowLevelPresets Defaults do not match suggested WL Presets on CT system.
There are some CT WindowLevelPresets that are suggested but not present by default on SmartPACS.
The four most common that I see used in CT (mostly small animal; in fact these are what we pre-set on our CereToms) are (in order of popularity):
Bone: 2000 @ 500
Soft Tissue: 400 @ 40
(Sharp) Lung: 1500 @ -500
Brain: 135 @ 350 votesResolved in SmartPACS 1.7
