Report Log should show MA and Sec in separate fields
To comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act R.R.O 1990, Regulation 861 X-Ray Safety, 16.8. in Canada, the SmartDR Install Reports, when using the integrated Summit-DR Integration kit must show the tube current (MA) and duration of the exposure.
Please seperate the mAs field into an mA and Sec field to comply with Canadian regulations.

Easy access to normal anatomy
I would like to be able to have access to normal anatomy that could be easily accessed and pulled up side by side of the current film. It would be easier for owners to understand their pet's abnormality. Idexx has this feature and it was a very attractive tool when I was looking at systems.
5 votesThank you for the feature request. In the past we had a set of normals placed inside our PACS, not the DR acquisition station. If we put normals in the PACS would that satisfy the request?

Ability to update the name of a patient, without altering the name of the same patient on previous studies
Useful for horses that are unnamed at the time of early studies being taken (eg as a foal or yearling) but then go on to being officially named (eg for racing/competition/breeding, etc purposes) and you want the studies to remain together for continuity/patient record reasons.

Be able to assign a different client name to different studies of the same patient
I'd like to be able to keep the images from the same patient all together for continuity (as currently occurs), but be able to edit the owner/client details for a specific study without changing the owner/client details on all other studies.
For example: "Horse 1" is radiographed for "Client A" as a yearling for the Sales, and is sold and enters the training stables of "Client B" where it is again radiographed on several occasions before being sold to "Client C" where it is again radiographed.
In the above scenario, I either enter the same horse into the system 3…

Can you add a database field for staff that is not called Tech? Or change to Staff?
In California, RVT's have title protection. The term "Tech", that is used in the software to input the person taking the x-ray, should be changed. When we started with this sioftware we were asked to provide a list of all staff members that may be taking an x-ray.There should be the choice of "Tech" and "Staff" or Staff only (if we are limited to one term). The use of the term "Tech" for all staff members, licensed or unlicensed, would be illegal in Calif and is not respectful to the licensed individuals working in veterinary hospitals.

Allow multiple Institutions to be entered for practices sharing same equipment
Several hospitals share facilities and equipment. Having the ability to add multiple Institution Names and select these from the Study Add screen would be incredibly helpful.

email notifications for errors
The error messages at the DR acquisition station have been ignored by my staff for 6 weeks (for a problem with my PACS that I am aware of.) We do approx 70 X-rays a month, so this is approx 100 times this was ignored by veterinarians and support staff. It is unacceptable that this unit doesn't send logs or notifications to an administrator for status reports, but especially for errors. It looks like I'm not the only one that has brought this up. This is critical equipment and best practices are being ignored in this area.

Add/remove ER function.
Cas-363720 requested the ability to add/remove the ER function on the main page. Location states vet techs are selecting the ER function but not editing the patient information later meaning patient information is getting lost in the system.

Add cranial/caudal shot feature for turtles for accurately assess lung fields
In order to accurately assess turtles and tortoises' lung fields, a cranial/caudal view is necessary. Currently, we have logged these views under "Lateral" and then used a text annotation to correctly label the view that we actually took.

Add a generic note textbox in patient editor and/or study list
Having the ability to add notes in the acquisition PC like "images 4 and 5 were actually taken on x date" or "this patient's ID is x on AIS" would be helpful when dealing with un-fixable discrepancies between services.

Remove the "Right Limb Lat Left"
The ability to select a left limb on a right limb study is SUPER confusing (and vice versa). Can you remove these unnecessary options? If the shot isn't there to select then we know to go back in the exam tree and go to the other limb.

System Sounds Muted
System sounds frequently becomes muted on its own with no input from the user. This mutes the SDR ready beep. I have seen it occur frequently after reboots.

Please allow ability to disable panel time-out
The automatic panel time-out after ten minutes without an exposure is increasingly problematic - sometimes it takes more than ten minutes for a horse to settle or to set up for an exposure, and there doesn't appear to be a way to extend the ten minute time until it's already expired and the panel has disconnected. It would be great if we could either extend the time before it expires, or (even better) opt out of this feature entirely.

Set workbench settings for specific protocol (i.e.) pregnant dogs.
We have trouble with the image settings for pregnant dogs. We do not get alot of detail - if we could have a protocol that sets the contrast higher automatically instead of doing it manually every time.

EXPOSURE DEVIATION INDEX
It would be nice to have an exposure index for new technicians who are less experienced in deciding if radiographs are over- or underexposed. I have used other systems that have utilized this and it helps in educating staff as well as improving image quality

Adding a canine breed
We are performing radiographs on a patient for OFA registration and realized we do not have the patients correct breed. The breed is a Russian Black Terrier
